Rapier Employment are currently seeking Drivers Mates / Home Delivery Assistants for our busy home delivery client based in Faverdeal, with ongoing work available. Ideally, candidates should live within approximately 15 minutes of Darlington town centre.

Rates of Pay

  • Standard rate: £13.05 per hour
  • Overtime rate: £19.57 per hour

Working Hours

  • 6:00am starts
  • This is a 7-day operation
  • Weekend work is essential, including either Saturday or Sunday

The Role

As a Drivers Mate, you will work alongside a delivery driver, assisting with the delivery of furniture and white goods directly into customers' homes. The role is physically demanding, so you must be comfortable with manual handling and working as part of a two-person delivery team. You will also be customer-facing, so a friendly, professional and engaging personality is essential. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are highly valued.
