We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various trades. This role requires hands-on experience with tools and machinery, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Skilled Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Assist in various construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, and roofing
- Perform plumbing, electrical, and masonry work as needed
- Engage in concrete forming, finishing, and restoration projects
- Execute trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and flooring installation
- Conduct construction painting and plastering tasks
- Participate in heavy equipment operation when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related fields
- Knowledge of construction management practices
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes
- Strong skills in carpentry, welding, glass installation, tile laying, hardscape, caulking, and stucco application
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
- Full drivers licence
- Minimum 10 years experience
