Working Hours: 43.5 Hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:30pm
Friday 8am to 4:00pm
30 minutes paid lunch
Salary: OTE c£45,000.00 + (Basic salary £33,000.00 + commission)
Holiday: 28 paid days per year (including bank holidays) (Some leave mandatory for business closure between Christmas and New Year)
Company overview: We have been in business for over 35 years and are one of the largest independent welding suppliers in the UK. From our Head Office in Portsmouth, we ship welding plant and consumables, worldwide, on a daily basis while our Service Centre in Hedge End, Southampton provides factory trained service engineers to meet our customers' requirements.
What will be your role?
- Working closely with the Sales Director and his team to understand the needs of the business
- Achieving sales targets in the assigned region
- Actively maintaining customer relationships
- Identifying opportunities to grow the customer base and build positive relationships with new customers
- Striving to increase market share in the assigned region
- Supporting customers with expert advice on the product range
- Offering excellent customer service
Who are we looking for?
- Sales experience essential (minimum 2 years)
- Previous welding or engineering experience (minimum 1 year)
- Someone hardworking, honest and customer friendly
- Living in the area
- Self-confident with strong communication skills
- Highly organised and disciplined with a flexible attitude
- Able to present at all levels
- With a high level of energy and passion
- Holding a valid driving licence
- Flexible and adaptive to the needs of the business
