Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CCTV Installation Engineer role based in Coventry.

The CCTV Installation Engineer will install, configure, and commission redeployable CCTV systems at customer locations, ensuring they meet technical and operational requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include running and terminating electrical wiring, mounting cameras and related equipment, integrating systems with existing infrastructure, and performing routine testing and diagnostics to verify performance.

The role also involves troubleshooting equipment faults, carrying out preventive maintenance, completing installation and service documentation, and providing basic user guidance to customers.

The engineer will collaborate with the technical and sales teams to support demonstrations, respond to customer queries, and uphold safety and quality standards on all sites.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong equipment installation skills, including mounting, positioning, and configuring CCTV hardware and related components.
  • Candidates should possess electrical engineering and electrical wiring skills for safely connecting, routing, and terminating power and signal cables.
  • Candidates should possess maintenance skills for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and carrying out routine servicing of CCTV systems.
  • Candidates should possess mechanical engineering skills to work with brackets, housings, fixings, and other mechanical assemblies used in CCTV installations.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience) is beneficial.
  • Experience with CCTV, security systems, or related field environments, including working at height and on construction or public sites, is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport to commute to our Coventry office.
  • Genuinely comfortable working at height — 9m in a cherry picker.
