We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer of packaging solutions and building products based in Cradley Heath. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to join a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will initially work Monday to Friday on 8-hour day shifts during the training period, before moving onto a Panama shift pattern. As this role involves working independently, candidates must be confident in fault‑finding, repairs, and maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Maintain and improve production machinery to minimise downtime.
- Work on a range of equipment including: Conveyors, Extrusion lines, Pneumatic systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent) is essential.
- Proven experience working as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- Experience working on conveyors, extrusion lines, and pneumatics.
- Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities effectively.
- Extrusion line experience would be highly advantageous.
