Are you an experienced Procurement professional who wants to make a real impact in a growing, operationally focused business? We are looking for a Procurement Manager to take ownership of procurement across Rapid Repair Network. This is a hands-on role for someone who will get into the detail, understand where our biggest areas of spend and opportunity are, and work closely with operational teams and suppliers to deliver measurable improvements. With significant spend across repairers, vehicle parts and company vans, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact while helping us develop and improve our procurement processes as the business continues to grow.

Why choose us? We’re an agile, scaling business where people are given the opportunity to make decisions, implement change and see the direct impact of their work. This is not a procurement role that simply sits behind a desk managing suppliers. We are looking for someone who will get operationally involved, measure performance and work with senior management and departments across the business to reduce cost, eliminate waste and improve service.

What do we do? Rapid Repair Network is a leading national mobile vehicle repair business working with Accident Management Companies, Fleet providers and Insurers. We attend the drivers of damaged but driveable vehicles at their location, preventing the need for many vehicles to go to a traditional bodyshop for repair. Our skilled technicians and network repairers deliver complex automotive repairs across the UK, and we are continuing to grow and develop the business.

What can you expect? You will take ownership of procurement across the business, focusing on our key areas of spend and identifying where procurement can have the greatest commercial and operational impact. This is a hands-on role, working to reduce cost, eliminate waste, improve performance and ensure the business is getting the best possible value.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand the main areas of spend and prioritise opportunities to have the biggest impact, improving processes and measures to reduce cost while improving performance.
  • Own supplier and customer contractual documents, ensuring arrangements are in place, up to date and key obligations are communicated to the business.
  • Develop relationships with parts suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and periodically market test price and service.
  • Review Parts department performance, focusing on lead times, right-first-time, consumable use and returns, with a view to eliminating waste.
  • Escalate serious supplier issues where required and use supplier relationships to facilitate effective resolution.
  • Undertake procurement of Vans and Company Cars, ensuring excellent rates from vehicle providers.
  • Source and/or onboard new suppliers where required, ensuring they understand the business requirements and processes they must follow.
  • Produce procurement KPIs, identify underperforming areas and brief managers on the issues and improvements required.
  • Establish an appropriate review cycle with parts suppliers to provide feedback and inform improvement activities.
  • Prepare written Board reports on procurement activity, savings identified and savings realised.
  • Undertake any other duties required by the business from time to time.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experienced Procurement professional who is commercially minded, analytical and confident working across a business.
  • Comfortable getting into the detail, challenging existing processes and using data to identify and deliver improvements.
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and hold internal teams and suppliers to account.
  • Experience within automotive, fleet, vehicle parts, repair, logistics or another supplier-driven environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate tangible cost savings and performance improvements through your work.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary
  • Pension
  • Additional staff perks & company events
  • Free on-site parking
  • Great working environment
  • Ability to progress

Next steps? We will be contacting successful applicants to take part in an initial call. If you require any reasonable adjustments to support you through the interview process, please let the recruiter know. We are committed to ensuring an inclusive and accessible experience for all candidates.
