Are you an experienced Procurement professional who wants to make a real impact in a growing, operationally focused business? We are looking for a Procurement Manager to take ownership of procurement across Rapid Repair Network. This is a hands‑on role for someone who will get into the detail, understand where our biggest areas of spend and opportunity are, and work closely with operational teams and suppliers to deliver measurable improvements. With significant spend across repairers, vehicle parts and company vans, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact while helping us develop and improve our procurement processes as the business continues to grow.
Why choose us? We’re an agile, scaling business where people are given the opportunity to make decisions, implement change and see the direct impact of their work. We are looking for someone who will get operationally involved, measure performance and work with senior management and departments across the business to reduce cost, eliminate waste and improve service.
What do we do? Rapid Repair Network is a leading national mobile vehicle repair business working with Accident Management Companies, Fleet providers and Insurers. We attend the drivers of damaged but driveable vehicles at their location, preventing the need for many vehicles to go to a traditional bodyshop for repair. Our skilled technicians and network repairers deliver complex automotive repairs across the UK, and we are continuing to grow and develop the business.
What can you expect? You will take ownership of procurement across the business, focusing on our key areas of spend and identifying where procurement can have the greatest commercial and operational impact. Key responsibilities will include:
- Understand the main areas of spend within the business to prioritise your focus on where you can have the biggest impact, implementing improvement in processes and measures within departments to reduce cost, while improving performance.
- Own the contractual documents within the business for suppliers and customers and ensure we have contractual arrangements in place and up to date with all the main parties, with any key obligations from these contracts communicated to the business.
- Develop relationship with parts suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and market test price and service periodically to ensure the business is receiving the terms that it should.
- Review the performance of the Parts department, with a particular focus on lead time, right first time, consumable use and returns. This is all with a view of eliminating waste from the process.
- If required elevate issues within suppliers to help resolve serious problems, having built the relationships with those suppliers to facilitate such escalation.
- Undertake procurement of Vans and Company Cars, as approved by the Board, ensuring that we are receiving excellent rates from the providers of these vehicles.
- Where need source and/or onboard new suppliers, ensuring that they understand the requirements of our business and the processes to which they need to adhere.
- Produce the required KPIs to understand our procurement performance and brief managers in underperforming areas of the issues identified and what is required to improve.
- Establish an appropriate review cycle with part suppliers for both parties to receive feedback and to help inform improvement activities.
- Prepare written reports for the Board of the activity and savings identified and what of those have been realised.
- Any other duties as required by the business from time to time.
Who are we looking for? Experienced Procurement professional who is commercially minded, analytical and confident working across a business. Comfortable getting into the detail and using data to identify and deliver improvements. Strong supplier management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and hold teams and suppliers to account. Experience within automotive, fleet, vehicle parts, repair, logistics or another supplier-driven environment would be highly advantageous. Proactive and able to demonstrate tangible cost savings and performance improvements through your work.
Benefits include:
- Pension
- Additional staff perks & company events
- Free on-site parking
- Great working environment
- Ability to progress
We will be contacting successful applicants to take part in an initial call. If you require any reasonable adjustments to support you through the interview process, please let the recruiter know. We are committed to ensuring an inclusive and accessible experience for all candidates.
