Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support their finance team on a short-term contract. This role will primarily focus on bank reconciliations and assisting with day-to-day finance tasks during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and unreconciled items
- Post and allocate cash transactions accurately
- Assist with processing payments and receipts
- Support the finance team with general accounts administration
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role
- Strong experience completing bank reconciliations is essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
