A small and friendly Accountancy practice based in Harrow is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role would suit someone with at least 5 years’ experience working in a UK accountancy practice, with strong experience preparing statutory accounts and liaising directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
- Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing corporation tax returns and personal tax returns
- Liaising directly with clients and handling queries professionally
- Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts where required
- Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
- Supporting junior team members where needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts
- Confident liaising with clients directly
- ACCA, ACA or AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Good knowledge of UK tax and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Professional communication skills
