About the Role: We are partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice that provides a full range of services to individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Known for their commitment to excellent client service and long-term relationships, this growing firm is now looking to hire a proactive and organised Administrator to support their day-to-day operations and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to partners, accountants, and the wider team
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally and efficiently
- Maintain and update client records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Handle document preparation, scanning, filing, and archiving (both digital and physical)
- Support client onboarding, including AML checks and collecting KYC documentation
- Assist with diary management, meeting scheduling, and appointment coordination
- Liaise with clients on document submissions and deadline reminders
- Track key deadlines for tax returns, Companies House filings, and submissions
- Draft letters, invoices, and engagement letters using established templates
- Order office supplies and liaise with service providers
- Perform general administrative tasks to ensure a compliant and efficient office environment
Requirements:
Essential:
- Prior experience in an administrative role, ideally within accountancy or professional services
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Professional and discreet when handling confidential information
Desirable:
- Experience using accountancy or CRM software (e.g., Xero, Iris, CCH)
- Familiarity with AML and KYC compliance during client onboarding
- Previous experience in a client-facing role
