Rapid Recruit are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Bacup. You will be working as part of a small, supportive team, responsible for the collection of domestic and commercial waste across local areas.
The working hours are Tuesday to Friday 6:45am 4:15pm (may be ad hoc) at £14.13 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 2 collection vehicles on designated routes
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects
- Collect household, recycling and commercial waste efficiently
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures, using PPE at all times
- Work closely with loaders and remain alert to public and road hazards
- Complete required paperwork and comply with driving regulations.
Requirements
- Availability at short notice and for standby cover
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible approach, including assisting as a loader when required
- Valid Class 2 licence, CPC card and tachograph card (essential)
- Previous experience preferred but not essential new drivers welcome.
