- Nights: 10pm – 7am Monday to Thursday £23.27 per hour
Rapid Recruit are currently looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client’s team in Nelson.
You will support the production and administration teams in ensuring all products are manufactured to a high standard, meeting rigid industry and customer standards and AS9100.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage inspection schedules using the company’s ERP system.
- Carry out first-off, patrol and final inspections using a range of inspection equipment, including CMM.
- Create and operate CMM programmes to inspect components to specification.
- Complete FAIRs, PPAPs and other customer quality requirements.
- Manage NCRs and quality-related administration, including paperwork for customers and suppliers.
- Support AS9100 and customer audits, including internal quality audits.
- Manage calibration and servicing of inspection equipment to ensure compliance.
- Deal with customer quality questionnaires, ISO certificates, material certificates and Cof Cs.
- Maintain accurate quality records, route card adherence and material traceability.
- Liaise with Production Managers, customers, suppliers and other members of the team as required.
Requirements
- Good computer skills and administration experience.
- Understanding of production processes and modern inspection techniques within precision engineering.
- Experience with CMM would be beneficial.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Able to work as part of a team and communicate with people at all levels.
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritise workload.
- Professional, organised and confident manner.
