Barnsley 12-hour shifts Days & Nights (2 days 6am-6pm, 2 nights 6pm-6am, 4 on 4 off) £14.81 per hour

Rapid Recruit are currently looking for experienced Operators on behalf of our client in Barnsley. The successful candidate will operate a range of production machinery in line with customer demand and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve established production output and quality targets in all areas of work.
  • To communicate with other employees, particularly at shift changeover, discussing work related issues and progress.
  • To operate the allocated equipment in a safe manner and within the UK safety guidelines and LP9000 guidance of the company.
  • To operate the equipment to the ISO9001 quality systems and controls, ensuring that all products are manufactured to specification and within tolerance.
  • Making minor adjustments to the machine, to ensure correct specification of product is achieved.
  • To report mechanical or electrical faults (as necessary) to the maintenance team.
  • Responsible for high standard of housekeeping in his/her area of work.
  • Responsible for adhering to all workplace standards in every area.
  • Completion of all production related data both paper and electronic.
  • Report any non-conforming material or product immediately through the non-conformance procedure.
  • Complete any reasonable request by management.
Requirements:
  • Experience operating machines in a production environment would be desirable.
  • Must be numerate and literate, with good communication skills.
  • Must be a team player, with a can-do attitude but equally able to work independently.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable and capable of working shifts.
