Job Description Rapid Recruit are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Bacup. You will be working as part of a small, supportive team, responsible for the collection of domestic and commercial waste across local areas. \n The working hours are Tuesday to Friday 6:45am - 4:15pm (may be ad hoc) at £14.13 per hour. \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Safely operate Class 2 collection vehicles on designated routes \n Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects \n Collect household, recycling and commercial waste efficiently \n Adhere to all health & safety procedures, using PPE at all times \n Work closely with loaders and remain alert to public and road hazards \n Complete required paperwork and comply with driving regulations. \n \n Requirements \n \n Availability at short notice and for standby cover \n Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions \n Flexible approach, including assisting as a loader when required \n Valid Class 2 licence, CPC card and tachograph card (essential) \n Previous experience preferred but not essential — new drivers welcome. \You are also giving your consent to your personal data being included on a computerised database and its use in order to secure employment. \If you are still looking for work, please feel free to take a look at our website for the roles we are recruiting for.
