Maintenance Engineer Rotating Days & Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts per week) Burnley £42,066 per annum. Rapid Recruit are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client in Burnley. The successful candidate will be working on mechanical and electrical machinery throughout the site and cover all departments & ancillary equipment. You will carry out maintenance, repairs, PPM schedules, routine testing, calibration, record keeping, health and safety, and participate in C.P.S functions.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure a smooth and effective maintenance department.
- Ensure maximum machine availability at all times.
- React to faults and breakdowns as priority.
- Implement and maintain PPM programme.
- Work within a dedicated budget.
- Liaise with external contractors.
- Record and update key engineering data.
- Embed the health and safety culture throughout the department.
- Liaise with operations team regarding maintenance plan and issues.
- Lead or participate in various projects considering current issues/initiatives as a means of improving overall business efficiency.
- Embrace the site C.P.S. strategy and projects.
- Meet with engineering manager to monitor progress.
- Working to BRC standards.
Requirements
- Strong Electrical/Electronic knowledge and background.
- Highly decisive team player.

- Effective motivator and communicator.
- Previous proven experience within engineering area.
- Strong emotive control and effective crisis management skills.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety.

Week 1: Sunday 6am-6pm, Monday 6am-6pm, Tuesday 6am - 6pm
Week 2: Wednesday 6pm-6am, Thursday 6pm-6am, Friday 6pm-6am
Week 3: Wednesday 6am-6pm, Thursday 6am-6pm, Friday 6am-6pm
Week 4: Sunday 6pm-6am, Monday 6pm-6am, Tuesday 6pm-6am
