Rapid Personnel are recruiting for Food Production Operatives to work with one of the UK’s leading and most recognised food manufacturers, based in Thatcham. This is a vital position within the factory operations, to ensure daily tasks are running efficiently. This is a temp-to-perm position and after 12 weeks you will be offered a permanent contract with the company directly. Responsibilities * Complete physical duties and problem-solving tasks. * Maintaining a safe work environment and monitor equipment. * Ensure that the weights, vacuum, torque and codes for each product is correct. * Ensure that the labels and packaging is correct for the product. * Carry out cleaning procedures. * Change over the machines for product and line changes. * Manufacture the product to the required specification, in a quality and hygienic manner. * Carrying out safety checks on the machinery. * Lifting and manoeuvring stock items up to 20kg. All roles offer career progression and opportunities for permanent employment. Full training will be provided along with nationally recognised food hygiene qualifications. Available shifts Rotating shift – Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00 37.5 hours /week Or Static night shift – Sunday to Thursday, 23:00-07:00 37.5 hours per week This position would be suitable for anyone who has worked as a Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Factory Operative, Production Line Worker, Packing Operative or Machine Operator. Located on the outskirts of Thatcham/Newbury, we provide a transportation to and from the site, with pick up/drop off points in Reading at a cost of £3/day. Immediate starts available!
