Rapid Personnel are looking for an experienced Multi-Wickman Setter / Operator to join our client’s busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, producing precision-engineered components. A Multi-Wickman Setter is responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining Wickman multi-spindle machines used in high-volume production of precision components. The role involves tooling setup, machine adjustments, and ensuring consistent product quality while meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Wickman multi-spindle machines for production runs
- Install and align tooling, cams, and attachments according to engineering drawings
- Adjust machine settings to achieve optimal performance and cycle times
- Monitor production output to ensure components meet quality standards
- Perform inspections using measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers, gauges)
- Diagnose and resolve machine faults, tooling issues, and production problems
- Work closely with quality and engineering teams to improve processes
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
