Role Objective:Kenect Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a experienced Machine Operator (4 day week) based in Carryduff. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to support efficient and high-quality production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Concrete product manufacturing.
  • Operate a variety of machinery and systems safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify any issues affecting output or quality.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and assist with repairs.
  • Support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Accurately record production figures and machine data.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to optimise production processes.
  • Prepare machinery for incoming shifts and report any concerns during clean-down.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) policies and report issues using internal systems.
  • Carry out HSEQ checks and ensure risks are identified and controlled.
  • Maintain quality standards across the production process with clear documentation.
  • Keep the work area clean, safe, and well-organised at all times.
  • Carry out any other duties in line with the role and capabilities.

  • Medically capable of meeting the physical demands of the role.
  • Strong commitment to health & safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
  • Able to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with team members.
  • High attention to detail and quality control.
  • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
  • Ability to self-motivate and capable of working independently or within a team.
  • Able to maintain focus for repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to respond to production issues outside standard hours.
  • Willingness to learn, retrain and adapt as needed.
