VP Operations Build the engine that powers NHS transformation. At Rapid Health, we’re reshaping how patients access care through intelligent, autonomous triage. Used in over 5% of NHS primary care, Smart Triage is transforming how demand flows through the system - and we’re just getting started. We’re now looking for our first VP Operations - a builder, not a bureaucrat - to help us scale from a lean, high-performing start-up into a disciplined, high-impact organisation. You’ll create order from pace, build automation into everything we do, and design systems that let us move faster with confidence. You’ll bring structure without slowing us down, energy without ego, and relentless focus on execution. This is a hands-on leadership role - no silos, no hiding. You’ll work directly with the CEO, get into the details, and build from first principles. You’ll coach, hire, and shape our culture as we grow. You’ll thrive here if you: Have scaled an organisation before - ideally in health tech, B2B SaaS, or another complex regulated environment. Know how to turn chaos into rhythm, and strategy into execution. Are obsessed with elegant simplicity, automation, and measurable outcomes. Value a flat structure, direct communication, and data over politics. Care deeply about improving patient and clinician experience. If you’re ready to help build the operating engine of a company that’s redefining how the NHS works, we’d love to meet you. Purpose To lead and scale Rapid Health’s internal operations, building the structure, systems, and discipline that enable sustainable exponential growth. The COO will translate strategy into action - creating the operational backbone that allows the CEO and leadership team to focus on market expansion and strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable operational systems for regulatory programmes, client onboarding, delivery, and support. Drive automation and continuous improvement across service delivery, reporting, and internal workflows. Manage cross-functional execution across product, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure cohesive delivery of company objectives. Develop and maintain performance dashboards and KPIs to enable data-driven operational decisions. Support recruitment, talent development, and organisational design as the business scales. Act as a cultural anchor - setting a standard for discipline, ownership, and execution. Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on strategy, planning, and financial management. Ideal Profile Experience in operational or general management leadership roles, ideally within health tech, B2B SaaS, or other regulated high-growth environments. Demonstrable track record of helping to scale a technology organisation from early stage to maturity - implementing systems, processes, and rhythm at pace. Experience operating within high-regulatory, high-stakes industries where quality, safety, and compliance are critical. Skilled in building automation and data-led operations using modern SaaS tools and frameworks. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organisational design capability. Hands-on operator - able to design, build, and execute independently. Thrives in a flat, fast-paced environment that values first-principles thinking and critical reasoning. Passionate about improving healthcare delivery, patient experience, and NHS efficiency.
