Product Development Technician – Nuneaton

About The Role
We\’re looking for a technically minded individual to support our product development team with the design, drafting, and technical delivery of new and existing products. You\’ll create and maintain AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks 3D drawings, assist with prototypes and testing, and play a key role in bringing design ideas to life.
This is an on‑site role based at our Jodrell facility, offering full‑time hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, and Friday 8:30 am–4:00 pm.
What You\’ll Do
- Create and update 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD to support product design and manufacturing.
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Support the team with technical queries and provide input during design stages.
- Maintain drawing files, revision history, and documentation in line with company standards.
- Assist with prototype builds, testing, and product evaluations.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors to gather technical information or resolve design issues.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential, Solidworks 3D desirable).
- Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Collaborative, organised, and eager to learn new skills.
- Hands‑on approach with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
(Experience in sheet metal design is beneficial but not essential — training will be provided.)
