We are on a mission to create the world's greatest club through our Rapha Cycling Club (RCC). The eCommerce Content Executive will contribute to this mission by supporting the execution and optimisation of our website's core informational and inspirational content, ensuring every page is on-brand, commercially effective, and optimised for both search engines (SEO) and user experience.
You will report directly to the Senior eCommerce Content Manager, working closely with them on day-to-day operations and contributing to wider group projects that drive our global content strategy. This role is vital to our success, requiring close collaboration with Brand, Marketing, Trade, and Merchandising to drive both brand engagement and revenue.
Content Ownership & Implementation- End-to-End Content Management: Own the implementation, publishing, and ongoing maintenance of all key content pages, including Homepage updates, seasonal/campaign stories, buying guides, and informational pages.
- CMS Management: Be the subject matter expert for our Content Management System, Contentful, ensuring technical integrity and efficient content delivery.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Maintain an impeccable eye for detail, conducting thorough QA checks on all content before and after go-live to ensure zero errors in copy, assets, internal linking, and mobile responsiveness.
- SEO Implementation: Apply fundamental and advanced SEO knowledge to all new and existing content, including optimising meta data, on-page copy, image alt tags, and internal linking structures to maximise organic search visibility.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on content performance (traffic, conversion rates, engagement) using analytics tools, providing data-driven insights to recommend improvements.
- Commercial Insight: Proactively identify content opportunities that align with trade priorities, merchandising calendars, and seasonal product launches to support business objectives.
- 2+ years experience in an eCommerce, Digital Content, or SEO-focused role, ideally within retail or a fast-paced environment.
- SEO Proficiency: A strong working knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and how to use data (e.g., keyword research) to inform content decisions.
- Digital Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with a passion for ensuring high standards of site hygiene, consistency, and accuracy.
- Technical Content Acumen: Experience working with Content Management Systems and understanding of digital content publishing workflows.
- Proactive Attitude: An eager, proactive, and commercially-minded approach with a strong willingness to own tasks from ideation to implementation.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset, able to manage input from multiple stakeholders.
- Localisation: An understanding of the importance of localisation and/or experience working on global websites.
- Direct experience with Contentful or a similar headless CMS (e.g., Sanity, Amplience).
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics).
- Basic understanding of A/B testing and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) principles.
- Experience using project management tools like Asana for content ticketing and workflow.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose front-end content issues.
You will be a key member of the Digital team, reporting to the Senior eCommerce Content Manager. You will work closely with them on daily tasks and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional projects.
Collaborations- Brand & Marketing: To align content plans with global campaigns and brand guidelines.
- Trade & Merchandising: To ensure content strategically supports product discovery, sales targets, and inventory flow.
- Development & Tech: To raise and test technical fixes that impact content or page performance.
