About the Role

As a Fire & Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems for commercial clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. You will play a key role in ensuring systems remain fully operational, compliant, and effective in protecting people, property, and businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair fire and security systems, including:
    • Fire alarm systems
    • CCTV systems
    • Intruder alarm systems
    • Access control systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
  • Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide clear technical guidance to clients.
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency support when required.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Fire alarms
    • CCTV
    • Intruder alarms
    • Access control systems
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • FIA, BAFE, or equivalent industry qualifications.
  • 5+ years' experience within the fire and security industry.
