About the Role
As a Fire & Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems for commercial clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. You will play a key role in ensuring systems remain fully operational, compliant, and effective in protecting people, property, and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair fire and security systems, including:
- Fire alarm systems
- CCTV systems
- Intruder alarm systems
- Access control systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
- Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide clear technical guidance to clients.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency support when required.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Fire alarms
- CCTV
- Intruder alarms
- Access control systems
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- FIA, BAFE, or equivalent industry qualifications.
- 5+ years' experience within the fire and security industry.
