Join a small care setting based in Erdington, Birmingham. The home specialises in caring for adults with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, mental health conditions, complex needs, and individuals requiring PEG feeding.

What You’ll Do

  • Support residents with their daily needs: feeding, personal care, companionship.
  • Work with a registered nurse and other healthcare professionals as part of a team.
  • Deliver personalised care tailored to individual residents’ needs.
  • Support residents with PEG feeding and other nutritional needs.
  • Promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily care.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the home.
  • Perform regular wellbeing and safety checks.
  • Assist at mealtimes—prepare snacks or provide support with feeding.
  • Use manual handling equipment safely and confidently.
  • Keep accurate records (daily logs, care charts, etc.).
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members.

Set Rota (12‑Hour Day Shifts)

08:00 – 20:00

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday.
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday.
Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role (minimum 6 months, UK based).
  • Confidence in using manual handling equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and team‑player mindset.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Visa sponsorship not available for this role.
