We are looking for a motivated and reliable Estate Technician to join our client’s team in Banbury. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining the condition and presentation of void properties and surrounding outdoor spaces. You will play a key role in preparing properties for new tenants or contractors, ensuring high standards are met across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect a company transit van and travel to various sites as required; may not be required to drive on every shift.
  • Remove fly-tipping, general waste and building debris from properties and land.
  • Carry out grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning and jet washing.
  • Clear and clean void properties, including those left in poor condition.
  • Handle sensitive situations, including properties vacated due to eviction or bereavement.
  • Work alongside housing officers, social workers and other professionals in vulnerable cases.
  • Assist with clearing properties affected by severe neglect or fire damage.
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance, including cleaning equipment, performing routine checks and arranging repairs when necessary.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure properties are safe, clean and ready for the next stage of occupancy or refurbishment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry waste materials.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence with experience driving a transit van.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and respect.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
