We are seeking an experienced Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate to support a busy local government legal team in a full-time role (37 hours per week) .
The position has a predominant focus on Highways and Public Rights of Way (PROW) work and includes supporting the development and supervision of two paralegals within the team.
Knowledge and some experience of county Planning matters would be desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will be capable of picking up a busy caseload from the outset , comprising routine business-as-usual matters alongside complex, politically sensitive and contentious cases , and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience of working within a local authority, or advising local authorities in private practice, is essential.
