Balfour Beatty, an International Infrastructure group, is currently recruiting for a Document Controller for a contract position until the end of the year, with potential to extend. This is a fully remote position (you must be based in the UK). The main office for this position is based in South Wales, UK.
The Document Controller position will sit within Balfour Beatty's Rail System Business area. We are looking for a Document Controller who has ideally worked within a Construction, Infrastructure, Manufacturing or Engineering type of environment. You will have strict compliance and quality experience and have managed document handling end to end. Previous document management system experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control all project document flow to ensure accurate registration, revision, resubmission and storage of all project documentation.
- Ensure accurate liaison with site team, design team, subcontractors, customers, external suppliers and work winning staff.
- QA checking documents prior to submission.
- Archiving of project documentation following project close-out.
- Provide subject matter expertise and coaching on the use of documentation control systems to relevant teams and subcontractors.
- Help finalising persuasive proposals in support of winning new business, including information and document compilation and best practice capture.
- Assist the bid team and Proposals Manager by coordinating documents through a structured review process.
