You will hold complete accountability for portfolio P&L performance, service level agreement (SLA/KPI) delivery, contract retention, and account expansion through extra works and projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Relationship Management

    • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, delivering clear, commercial presentations on SLA/KPI attainment, customer satisfaction, and operational milestones.
    • Maintain regular strategic dialogue with client stakeholders to ensure total alignment with their property goals and operational expectations.
  • Commercial & Financial Ownership (P&L)
    • Hold full financial accountability for your portfolio contracts, driving profitability, managing budgets, and controlling Work in Progress (WIP), billing, and debt.
    • Proactively identify property improvement initiatives, scoping and presenting commercial proposals for extra works, refurbishments, and lifecycle replacements.
    • Manage third-party supply chain partners, negotiating competitive commercial terms and auditing performance against contractual service levels.
  • Service Delivery & Compliance Governance
    • Direct operational service delivery across hard and soft FM work streams, ensuring all contractual obligations, SLAs, and performance KPIs are consistently exceeded.
    • Partner with resident Engineering Supervisors and Technical Leads to ensure statutory property compliance (including Health & Safety, Water Hygiene, and Fire Safety) is rigorously maintained and audit-ready.
    • Act as senior incident escalation contact during operational disruptions, ensuring rapid resolution and transparent communication back to client teams.
  • People Leadership & Operational Culture
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate site teams, including Contract Support administrators, Supervisors, and technical service delivery staff.
    • Set clear performance targets, conduct regular appraisals, oversee recruitment, and promote a collaborative, customer-centric team culture.
    • Ensure all on-site activities champion high workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.

Person Specification

  • Proven Account Management Track Record: Demonstrable success as an Account Manager, Commercial Contract Manager, or Senior Facilities Manager managing multi-building commercial portfolios or landmark corporate properties.
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong experience managing contract P&Ls, controlling operational costs, driving margin retention, and winning profitable extra works.

  • Certifications (Desirable): IWFM membership, IOSH Managing Safely, or relevant business/facilities management qualifications.
  • Technical Background: Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
