The Opportunity
Are you an experienced SEND leader ready to shape the future of specialist education? We are seeking an outstanding Regional Principal to lead three specialist schools across four sites in Surrey. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker who can harmonise multidisciplinary education, therapy, and care to ensure the very best outcomes for students with complex needs. As a highly influential leader, you will balance educational excellence with operational and commercial oversight, fostering a culture of high expectations and inclusive practice across a regional cluster.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide a clear vision across multiple sites, ensuring a unified approach to high-quality specialist provision.
- School Improvement: Drive rigorous improvement plans to meet and exceed regulatory standards, ensuring a holistic and evidence-based curriculum.
- People Management: Motivate and challenge senior leadership teams, prioritising professional development, staff wellbeing, and retention.
- Financial & Operational Oversight: Manage regional budgets and resources effectively, balancing financial sustainability with the delivery of high-quality care.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build robust partnerships with parents, local authorities, commissioners, and the wider community.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance are embedded across all settings.
Who We Are Looking For
You are a credible, values-driven leader with a proven track record of senior-level success within the education sector. You possess a deep understanding of supporting children and young people with complex needs, including autism and learning disabilities.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- QTS and NPQH qualifications.
- Extensive knowledge of SEND legislation, safeguarding, and curriculum assessment.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through periods of change and improvement.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Experience leading across multiple sites is highly desirable.
