You will also be responsible for assisting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable himher to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them. The role will be challenging yet rewarding, working in an ever changing environment where you can make a real difference. You will be able to demonstrate practical, holistic teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the young people you support. Clarifying and explaining instructions Ensuring the pupil is able to use equipment and materials provided Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils needs Assisting in weaker areas, e.g. speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwritingpresentation etc Using praise, commentary and assistance to encourage the pupil to concentrate and stay on task Liaising with class teacher, Inclusion Manager and other professionals about Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate Providing additional nurture to individuals when requested by the class teacher or Inclusion Manager Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil Supporting differentiation and feedback to class teacher Requirements: Level 2 or 3 NCFE CACHE Knowledge of the National Curriculum (2014) and Development Matters Framework (2021) Have a flexible, can-do approach Ensure your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible (all employment breaks must be explained) Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process Provide professional references to cover you for at least 12 months within the last 2 years Have legal right to work in the UK About Us: Randstad Education is the UK market leader for recruitment within education.
