Hybrid working from a choice of office locations across Greater London. Randstad is working with a leading contractor in the water sector looking to expand its engineering team as part of a significant AMP8 framework. They are seeking a Principal EICA Design Engineer to play a key role in delivering a range of water and wastewater projects.

As a Principal EICA Design Engineer, you will take a leading role in developing efficient and cost-effective electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (EICA) designs for water and wastewater treatment projects. Your expertise will help shape solutions that are practical to construct, commission, and operate, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Producing high-quality EICA design deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure an integrated approach to project design and execution.
  • Contributing to early-stage design and optioneering to identify the most cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the design process, contributing to the development of best practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in EICA design, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.
  • A degree or master’s in electrical, control, or instrumentation engineering (or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of key EICA systems used in water treatment, including MCC designs, control and instrumentation specifications, and network configurations.
  • Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.
  • A full UK driving licence.
