As Building Surveying Manager, you will lead a technical surveying team to oversee capital projects, planned maintenance, and structural compliance across property and housing portfolios for a public sector client. You will act as Contract Administrator / Employer's Agent on major works, diagnose structural defects, and manage damp remediation programs. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of building surveyors and technical officers
  • Oversee capital projects, planned maintenance, and structural compliance across property and housing portfolios
  • Act as Contract Administrator / Employer's Agent on major works (JCT/NEC)
  • Diagnose structural defects and manage damp/mould remediation programmes
  • Manage capital budgets, gateway reports, and contractor performance

Key requirements

  • MRICS, MCIOB, or AssocRICS (or equivalent public sector surveying experience)
  • Strong background in contract administration and building pathology
  • Proven team management and budget handling experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence and proximity to Ipswich
