Randstad is seeking adaptable and dependable General Cover Supply Teachers for immediate starts across a variety of secondary schools throughout Torbay. This role is designed specifically for Qualified Teachers who want to focus purely on classroom delivery without the administrative burdens of permanent positions. If you are looking to regain your work-life balance while working within the beautiful English Riviera, this role offers the ultimate flexibility.
Key Benefits- No Planning or Preparation: All lesson plans and resources are fully provided by the permanent school staff.
- No Marking or Assessment: Simply ensure the classroom is left tidy with a brief handover note.
- Fixed Hours: Work strictly from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with zero unpaid overtime, weekend work, or parent's evenings.
- Complete Flexibility: Choose exactly which days you want to work each week via our digital booking system.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects to secondary school students (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
- Maintain a positive, productive, and safe learning environment using the school's behaviour policy.
- Supervise students throughout the school day, ensuring tasks are completed.
- Leave detailed feedback for the permanent class teacher at the end of the day.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students quickly.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude toward covering diverse subjects.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one through Randstad).
- Right to work in the UK.
