Role Overview
The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes across the business. The role will also require strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, supporting decision-making through insightful data analysis and financial modeling. Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Perform detailed variance analysis of actual vs. forecast/budget, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Prepare monthly management reports with commentary and insights for senior leadership.
- Extract, analyse, and manipulate large datasets to support business reporting and performance reviews.
- Use Excel (including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables, and advanced formulas) to build and maintain financial models and dashboards.
- Partner with marketing, sales, supply chain, and other departments to support commercial initiatives and provide financial guidance.
- Monitor KPIs and financial metrics, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the finance function, including automation and process optimisation.
Essential Requirements:
- Part/full qualification held in Accounting.
- Experience in a finance analyst, FP&A, or similar role, ideally within FMCG, luxury, or retail.
- Strong Excel skills: confident with XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables, and managing large datasets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
