Salary: AG7- £36,122 p.a.

As a Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for creating and managing digital and social media content for the Northern Ireland Assembly. This includes the preparation and production of videos, photographs and graphic design to enhance the Assembly's reputation and increase awareness of its corporate objectives, both to the wider public and to colleagues within the Assembly Commission.

A major part of this role will focus on filming, editing and publishing content across social media channels, the website, and the intranet.

What we need from you

  • Immediate availability
  • Completion of pre-appointment checks

Essential Qualifications

  • Possess at least a primary degree, minimum 2.2 classification, in any subject, plus 2 years' experience in the required criteria OR Have at least GCSE/GCE 'O' level passes at grades A* to C in four subjects including English language, plus 4 years' experience in the required criteria

Experience Required

  • Regular and skilled use of camera equipment and video editing software for business needs
  • Using graphic design software for social media and website use
  • Promoting strategic messaging or corporate storytelling on social media platforms
  • Using analytics/insights to measure the impact of content on web and/or social channels
  • Demonstrable understanding of managing digital content across multiple digital channels

Responsibilities

  • Video Production & Editing - Film and edit video content for publication on the Northern Ireland Assembly's social media channels, website and intranet, working as part of a team at Parliament Buildings and external venues.
  • Broadcasting & On-Air Presentation - Provide on-air presentation and broadcasting for the Assembly's website, social media channels and intranet.
  • Graphic Design & Branding - Design and publish social media graphics in collaboration with Communications Office colleagues to enhance branding and messaging for Committee and public engagement activities.
  • Content Management & Operations - Monitor mailboxes for content creation requests and complete work within agreed deadlines.
  • Strategy & Compliance - Use knowledge of Assembly processes and Northern Ireland politics to generate ideas for corporate objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance (such as GDPR and accessibility).
  • Stakeholder & Records Management - Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (MLAs, staff, public) and manage information/records in line with policies, including FOI request coordination.
