We are looking for a Maintenance and Design Engineer to join our team in a unique hybrid role that combines hands-on maintenance engineering with mechanical, electrical, and design activities. This position is vital for maintaining operational up time across machinery and facilities while developing engineered solutions to support business needs. You will report to the Director of Customer Experience, offering a role filled with variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work across prototyping and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Fault-Finding: Maintain machinery, tooling, and equipment availability. You will diagnose root causes and troubleshoot mechanical systems under time pressure.
- Preventative & Site Maintenance: Carry out scheduled inspections, calibrations, and basic site maintenance (including plumbing, heating, and electrics) to minimise downtime.
- Design & Development: Interpret requirements to develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings. This includes designing sheet metal components and building prototypes.
- Electrical Design: Produce basic electrical schematics, wiring solutions, and PCB layouts while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Data & Documentation: Use SolidWorks 2026 and TurboCAD 2022 to manage parts, revisions, and BOMs within an ERP system.
