Role: HR Manager

Location: TATA Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA

The requirement to travel to other sites Nationwide as needed.

Salary: Competitive, Inside IR35 (based upon experience)

Hours: Mon-Fri, standard office hours

Start: ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical assessment.

Responsibilities:

  • Playing a pivotal part in the Organisations HR team and acting as a subject matter expert for Manufacturing Leaders.
  • Providing guidance and support to stakeholders to ensure HR policies and practices are followed accordingly.
  • Proposing business strategies to complement business needs.
  • Acting as the main point of contact on site for HR cases.
  • Assessing and recommending organisational change as required with evidence presented.
  • Providing leadership to develop the workforce at the works.
  • Providing expertise on employee relations matters, organisational change, consultations, restructures, redeployment and change management.
  • Coaching and developing stakeholders within the business to maximise their leadership capability.
  • Working with talent acquisition and management to maintain, then grow the workforce.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree (HR) and/or CIPD holder (Levels 5 or 7).
  • CIPD membership (Associate and above).
  • Substantial experience supporting in excess of 300 FTE (on site).
  • Experience working in a standalone HR role (3+ years).
  • Remote case advisor experience (advantageous).
  • Proven experience within change management.
  • Prior experience supporting in a HR role within a Unionised environment.
  • Solid employee consultation and confidence with the end to end process.
  • Approachable persona and ability to handle confidential information at all times.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT literacy skills, especially MS Office and HR systems.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to also maintain high ethical standards.
