We are recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager for an established Tier 1 contractor operating across the South Coast. The business is known for honesty and quality delivery, trusted by supply chain partners and suppliers as a preferred collaborator. They work solely on framework and negotiated schemes in the Education, Care, NHS, MOD, MOJ and local authority sectors, ranging from £20 to £90 million on a 2‑stage basis.
Responsibilities
- The Bid Manager joins an existing pre‑construction team and is involved from the initial stages of bid selection, targeting opportunities that benefit the business.
- You will collaborate with the wider pre‑con team to devise, strategise, and build the best possible bid at Stage 1.
- You will help present the bid and, if successful, manage the Stage 2 process with estimating and design teams while serving as the client point of contact for all enquiries.
- You will manage large, complex bids and, ideally, have experience with 2‑stage schemes.
- You must understand technical queries, produce detailed bids, and create quality content, including initial PQQs for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience managing large, complex bids, preferably in 2‑stage schemes, and the ability to write detailed bid content.
- Confidence in handling technical queries.
