Business Analyst (Staffing & Integration)
We\’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our team for a 6-month contract engagement. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in the staffing industry, with specific expertise in Vendor Management Systems (VMS), pay/bill processes, and application integration. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, driving efficiency, and optimizing our operational workflows during this key project.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Management:
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate detailed business requirements from stakeholders across various departments (e.g., operations, finance, IT, sales).
- Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather comprehensive information.
- VMS Systems & Staffing Operations Expertise:
- Act as a subject matter expert for Vendor Management Systems (VMS), understanding their functionalities, configurations, and typical integrations within a staffing ecosystem.
- Analyze existing VMS workflows, identify pain points, and propose solutions for optimization and automation.
- Leverage deep understanding of staffing operations, including candidate lifecycle (sourcing, recruiting, onboarding), client management, and talent acquisition processes.
- Collaborate with VMS providers and internal teams for system enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Pay & Bill Process Optimization:
- Specialize in the analysis and optimization of pay/bill processes, including timesheet management, expense tracking, payroll processing, invoicing, and accounts receivable/payable.
- Work closely with finance and payroll teams to establish requirements for data integration from 3rd party vendors and streamline financial operations, ensuring data accuracy.
- Application Integration:
- Define integration requirements between various enterprise applications (e.g., VMS, ATS, CRM, Payroll, ERP, HRIS, reporting tools).
- Document data flows, API specifications, and transformation rules necessary for seamless data exchange.
- Collaborate with integration developers and architects to ensure successful implementation and testing of integrated solutions.
- Solution Design & Testing:
- Participate in the design of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and architectural standards.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions against business needs.
- Assist in defect identification, tracking, and resolution.
- Stakeholder Communication & Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and business implications to technical teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the staffing or human capital management (HCM) industry.
- Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) platforms (e.g., Fieldglass, Beeline, VNDLY, Workday, Pixid, Magnit).
- Strong understanding of staffing operational workflows and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of pay/bill processes within a staffing context.
- Demonstrated experience in defining requirements for application integration projects.
- Fluent in French & English (written and verbal).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucid chart) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or similar.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with API design principles (REST, SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML).
- Experience with data mapping and transformation for integration purposes.
Engagement Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
