We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant (Level 9 Equivalent) for a hybrid contract role based in Bristol. You will lead the initial build, landscape setup, and ongoing management of a high-profile SAP S/4HANA environment hosted on Hyperscalers.
Key Details
- Location: Hybrid (Bristol — max 2 days/week on-site)
- Contract Length: 6 Months initial
- Pay Rate: £291/day PAYE | £388/day Umbrella
- Working Hours: 40 hrs/week | 33 Days Holiday Entitlement
- Security Clearance: Active or Eligible Security Clearance (SC) required
Key Responsibilities
- System Build & Provisioning: Execute hands-on SAP S/4HANA installations, kernel patching, and initial setup on AWS Hyperscaler.
- Landscape Architecture: Manage multi-tier SAP environments (DEV / QAS / Pre-PRD / PRD separation), logical systems, transport routes, and client refresh strategies.
- HANA DB Administration: Perform DB sizing, initial setups, point-in-time backup/recovery configurations, log management, and routine housekeeping.
- Upgrades & Testing: Support S/4HANA release upgrades, Feature Package Stacks (FPS), Support Package Stacks (SPS), HA/DR testing, and performance testing.
Requirements
- Expertise: Advanced SAP Basis capabilities (P3 - Advanced level).
- S/4HANA & AWS: Deep hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA initial builds on AWS.
- Database Management: Proven track record in HANA database sizing, performance monitoring, and recovery operations.
