Overview

In this role you will perform maintenance and fault diagnosis across a range of production machinery, supporting continuous improvement and site facilities. You join a day-shift team at a Bicester-based manufacturing site, contributing to reliability, uptime, and efficiency. You will work with electrical and mechanical tasks, including OEM diagnostics and tooling like a lathe. This is a hands-on position with ongoing training and clear progression opportunities, offering a stable environment and nice scope to impact manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and fault diagnosis on production equipment.
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across multi-manufacturer machinery independently.
  • Work on variable speed drives, PCBs, and assist with remote OEM diagnostic support.
  • Drive continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency projects alongside routine site facility maintenance.
  • Utilise workshop equipment, including operating a manual lathe for mechanical repairs.

Key requirements

  • Recognised industrial electrical qualification (18th Edition IEE preferred).
  • Proven track record as Industrial Electrical or Electromechanical Shift Engineer (manufacturing or printing experience a plus).
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting, PCB/drive diagnostics, and basic mechanical machining (lathe operation).
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently, with strong communication and teamwork.
