Benefits Competitive pay rate £18.10 per hour, depending on experience Overtime premium rates apply Mileage allowance as required Enhanced holiday package & pension Fully funded, ongoing training & development opportunities Weekly pay Free training provided inclusive of E-Learning and face-to-face Short and long-term contracts available Free uniform Employee Assistance Programme Access to high street, retail and leisure discounts Requirements Degree/diploma in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent is essential Minimum 2 years post registration experience in similar role Current professional membership required Postgraduate training and /or experience in relevant courses Candidates must be Dysphagia trained Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review Ability to build rapport with ease Strong communication and interpersonal skills Effective time management and prioritisation skills Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment Responsibilities Prioritise, assess and manage own patient caseload Provide a high level of expertise in the promotion and development of patient’s speech, language and communication skills Make onward referrals to other professionals as required Assist in the planning, design and implementation of innovative and evidenced based ways of working with service users/carers Assist in the planning, design and evaluation of training and therapy programmes, ensuring regular updating to reflect current clinical practice Prepare/present appropriate specialist professional reports Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is solid understanding of their condition and ongoing treatment plan Promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency Support the service’s leadership team as required Maintain a high level of safety to ensure all service users are kept safe Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
