Our client, a leading global healthcare manufacturer based in Plymouth, is looking for a skilled Production Technician to join their night shift team. This permanent role is responsible for all technical and processing activities, including running machinery, equipment maintenance, and fault finding. The working hours are 11pm–11am on a 3 on, 3 off rotation, accompanied by an impressive 37% shift premium on top of your basic salary.

Main Responsibilities:
- Operational responsibilities include covering breaks, operating production machinery, assembling product and pallet release duties.
- Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbishing offline machinery.
- Attending to electro-mechanical faults, diagnosing and repairing.
- Ensuring all manufacturing equipment is set up and produces product according to standards.
- Monitoring in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
- Ensuring the minimization of downtime within planned costs for repair and spares.
Requirements (Essential):
- Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering is essential (e.g., C&G, HND, or a time-served apprenticeship).
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment is essential.
- Proven experience in maintenance and electro-mechanical fault finding.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-player attitude.
