The Reality of the Role

Let's be honest from the start: this isn't a hands-off, sit-at-home account management job. We are looking for someone who loves being visible, building real relationships, and driving operational excellence from the ground up.

In this role, you will be a permanent Randstad employee, but you'll be based directly on-site with our client, managing a dedicated white-collar workforce solution for a major Pharma business. Their footprint is vast—you could be walking the floor of a bustling warehouse one day and presenting data to research scientists the next. Because presence and partnership are everything here, you'll be embedded on-site 4 days a week, keeping your finger on the pulse of the account.

While you'll ideally live within an hour of our main client hubs (Witney, Abingdon, or Maidenhead) to keep your daily commute manageable, you will need a full UK driving licence. Our client's network spans from Kent up to Dundee, so you must be ready to hit the road when the business needs you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will lead an on-site team of 3 Randstad professionals, acting as the critical bridge between the client, your team, and Randstad's backend supporting functions (Compliance, Payroll, Billing, and Recruitment Delivery).
  • Relationship & Vacancy Management: You'll partner closely with the client's hiring managers to maximise vacancy capture, managing and tracking up to 70 open white-collar requisitions at any given time alongside our delivery team. When bottlenecks happen, you'll be the one to step in, smooth things over, and find solutions.
  • Data & Tech: You will live and breathe VMS data (ideally B-Line). You will conduct monthly compliance audits, oversee invoicing, resolve queries, and track actions rigorously.
  • Strategic Growth: You won't just execute; you'll improve. You'll analyse account data, build compelling presentations, and deliver strategic reviews that align Randstad's commercial priorities with the client's vision.

What We Need From You

  • We need a proactive problem-solver who can handle the fast-paced nature of a major pharmaceutical account without losing an eye for detail.
  • Recruitment Account Management: You have a proven track record managing large-scale, outsourced white-collar recruitment solutions (onsite or managed service provider experience is ideal - MSP).
  • VMS Expertise: Heavy experience navigating VMS systems (B-Line experience is a massive plus).
  • Data Literacy: You can look at a spreadsheet, spot the narrative, and turn it into a polished presentation for senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Escalation Skills: You know how to motivate a small team and confidently manage tough conversations with client stakeholders or internal HR when issues arise.
  • Strong Communication: You can seamlessly shift your style whether you are speaking with a warehouse manager, a lab researcher, or a corporate executive.

Ready to apply?

If you want the backing, progression, and benefits of working for a global leader like Randstad, combined with the fast-paced autonomy of managing a major client account directly on-site, we want to hear from you. Apply today.

Inclusivity Statement: We are an inclusive employer. Should you require any reasonable adjustments in order to complete any aspect of the recruitment process, please reach out to our Internal Talent Acquisition team, and we will be happy to support you.
