I am exclusively partnering with an established, privately owned SME organisation to recruit a dynamic and commercially astute Head of Finance, to join the senior leadership team alongside the MD at an exciting time for the business. You will join at this critical stage of the company’s development to develop & implement the finance strategy. You will have genuine opportunity to influence the wider business. They have created a truly collaborative culture with a high degree of autonomy. The role will lead a small but established finance function and help continue to drive the business forward, enabling them to make strategic and commercial decisions based upon sound financial assumptions. The Head of Finance will ultimately have the energy and passion to grow the business. You will be comfortable operating at board level, but equally as comfortable being hands-on and getting into the detail when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Set clear strategy for the overall finance function and clearly show how this improves business performance
  • Ensure that the finance function has robust processes that are able to scale as the business grows, producing timely, accurate financial information and disciplined financial controls
  • Able to provide business performance analysis and valuation
  • Provide all budgeting / forecasting and decision support material
  • Bring a strong financial perspective to strategic plans, including impacts on cash, growth and profitability

You:

  • Previous experience within an SME business advantageous
  • Strong business partnering and c-suite level engagement
  • Ability to influence at all levels and build co-operative relationships
  • The motivation and ambition to drive innovative thinking
  • Good knowledge of Excel & appropriate ERP systems
