Social Value Programme Lead

Contract: Until April 26

Location: Newcastle

Working Model: Hybrid (2 days in the office)

The Role

As the Social Value Programme Lead you will be responsible for shaping and driving impactful social value initiatives across our region. This vital role focuses on creating benefit for our local clients and partners through strategic programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shaping and driving social value initiatives across our region for the benefit of our local clients.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on current initiatives as well as strategically evaluating successes and lessons learnt.
  • Leading on early talent and social mobility initiatives across the region, feeding into client demand and business development for the Advanced Technology Centre.
  • Providing sales and bid support for prospective technology programmes and projects.

Essential Skills and Experience

We are looking for a professional with a proven background in programme delivery and social value.

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

  • Programme management credentials spanning multiple clients and initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering in-person events/meetings to large and senior audiences.
  • A track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Experience monitoring and delivering social value initiatives.

Set Yourself Apart (Desirable Experience)

Candidates with the following experience will have a distinct advantage:

  • Experience with student recruitment activities.
  • Development of digital skills programmes/bootcamps/soft skills programmes and more.
  • Someone with a strong network of schools, colleges, employers, local authorities, and more.
  • Experience in strategy planning and bid writing (from a social value POV).
  • Excellent storytelling skills.

Additional Requirements

Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there may be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the first-class services we are known for.
