Are you a Qualified Accounting professional with deep expertise in tax, VAT, and financial compliance? We are seeking a high-calibre Accountant to take ownership of our client’s Record-to-Report (RTR) compliance function on a permanent basis. In this pivotal role, you will lead, review, and ensure the absolute accuracy of all governance activities executed by the offshore compliance team, driving adherence to both internal and statutory deadlines.
Core Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review and approve VAT and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns prepared by the offshore team prior to final group submission.
- Review statutory financial accounts to guarantee accuracy, completeness, correct formatting, and the seamless inclusion of Group Finance amendments.
- Ensure all tax and regulatory deadlines are met consistently with high precision and full regulatory compliance.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties and support wider RTR function priorities and strategic initiatives across the business as required.
- Lead the delivery of compliance and governance activities executed by the offshore team, ensuring complete statutory and operational alignment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven accounting experience and relevant professional accounting qualifications are essential.
- Deep knowledge of UK Tax, VAT, and CIS compliance processes and statutory frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the confidence to manipulate, analyse, and manage large data sets.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong review capabilities, and a commitment to governance standards.
