We are seeking experienced Residential Support Workers to join a specialist Children's Disability service in Downpatrick. This is not about "watching a shift go by." It is about stepping into a high-pressure environment, understanding the trauma behind the behaviour, and bringing safety, structure, and a little bit of warmth back into a young person's day. This role would best suit applicants that have previously worked in Children's Disability or alternatively in a similar role such as: Youth Worker, Support Worker, Therapeutic Support Worker, Family Support Worker, Residential Childcare Worker,Youth Mentor / Key Worker. How you will make a difference: Build Trust: Engage with vulnerable children using creative, trauma-informed methods. Provide Safety: Utilise your de-escalation skills to handle challenging behaviours, aggression, or self-harm with patience and composure. Be the Advocate: Provide accurate daily reports that directly shape the long-term therapeutic care plans for these young people. What you'll require: At least 6 months of paid UK care experience (ideally as a children's residential support worker, support worker or in other residential or crisis settings). NISCC Registration Candidates will require a willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children
