Due to complex user needs and a significant increase in the volume of Service Users, Randstad are keen to recruit experienced Support Workers for contracts beginning in Bessbrook.

The successful candidates will provide assistance to users within the services of Adult Disability in a day centre environment.

Requirements

  • NISCC registration essential
  • MAPPA training desireable
  • GCSE English and Maths (C or above or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check essential
  • Minimum 12 months previous Support Work experience essential
  • Immunisation records fully up to date
  • Previous experience within a day centre or residential healthcare setting highly desirable
  • Ability to build rapport

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily assistance to the management team within a Day Centre environment
  • Interact and develop caring & professional relationships with all Service Users
  • Engagement with users which may be non verbal
  • Full involvement in the planning & execution of therapeutic activities
  • Mobility assistance
  • Assisting with meals, feeding and hydration
  • Toileting & personal care if required
  • Basic administration and reporting
