Requirements
- NISCC registration essential
- GCSE English and Maths (C or above or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
- Minimum 6-12 months previous Support Work experience essential
- Immunisation records fully up to date
- Previous experience within a day centre or residential healthcare setting highly desirable
- Ability to build rapport
- Strong interaction and engagement skills
- Caring and compassionate approach
- Ability to work in fast paced user centric environment
Responsibilities
- Provide daily assistance to the management team within a Day Centre environment
- Interact and develop caring & professional relationships with all Service Users
- Engagement with users which may be non verbal
- Full involvement in the planning & execution of therapeutic activities
- Mobility assistance
- Assisting with meals, feeding and hydration
- Toileting & personal care if required
- Basic administration and reporting
